Dr. Michele Lentovich grew up in Westchester County, New York. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Amherst College in Massachusetts with a degree in Biology with honors in Immunology. She then followed her lifelong dream to become a veterinarian. She moved to the sunshine state and graduated with High Honors from the University of Florida in 1995. She achieved membership in Sigma Xi, and Phi Zeta, was the president of IAAAM and active in marine mammal, zoo and wildlife medicine and did research on manatees. She pursued a marine mammal rescue and zoo animal externship and has been active in marine mammal medicine and wildlife rescue and rehabilitation in the Tampa Bay area ever since.
Dr. Lentovich has spent the majority of her career in emergency medicine and critical care working in specialty hospitals in the Tampa Bay Area. She has now joined us at Seven Oaks and Pet Urgent Care with a strong foundation in emergency medicine and surgery, critical care and exotic animal medicine. In her spare time Dr. Lentovich spends time with her husband, twin daughters, two dogs, cats and two rabbits. She enjoys traveling, sailing, scuba diving and the beach. Dr. Lentovich is a member of the AVMA, VECCS, IAAAM and VIN.
